i have been a collector of knives since i can remember only as an amenture though
i can not see as to why the policing bodys are suddenly going so hard on knives i have personally had peices removed from my small collection by policing bodys and then to be told in court they had been destroyed
how can we place our peices in a proper contained area and not have them removed to be destroyed or have to pay to get them returned

Pete: Nice to hear you got a few more old SOGs! It is an expensive hobby so watch your expenses and there will always be another one up for sale in a few months. Better to hold off when you can. Regarding values and in depth rarity details, we used to have all that on our site till people abused it and free-loaded off our site for their ebay listings. We have since removed all that. Regarding what you mentioned, values are now done by our knife appraisal service. Regarding other values, drop us a mail!

Hi Guys, I have to tell you this Knife collecting is a nice hobby. I recently picked up a recon bowie, an S37 older seal knife and a sog Tech1. All were produced in seki japan. I also bought the Sog stingray mother of pearl folder, I just love the look of that knife. I just wish there was a publication that lists the value of these knives, or other older Sogs made in seki japan. That way I would have a basis of what their worth and not overpay. Although I guess value can mean many things to different people. I actually paid to much for my first purchase(the Recon Bowie), so I had to ship it back. I found another one for close to $120 less than the first. Is there any way I can send a payment to you guys and get a printout or something of values and rarity. Also what knives that sog is currently selling do you think will increase in value. I love the look of the Sog agency AG-01. But for collecting purposes obviously the knives made in japan are better. Please let me know. I need to get back to work and sign up for overtime the next couple of weeks to pay for the knives I bought, Thanks Again, Pete G |

Thnks Mark, I received the knife a couple of days ago. Beautiful, you can tell just by the feel that it is a well made knife. I did return it though because I did pay a little to much for it. I am going to look for one at a lower cost, maybe something used because I will take it out with me and use it. I can't really justify buying a knife like that just to put it away and never use it.
